Black Girl Sunscreen, a sunscreen brand the caters exclusively to women of color, has begun to really expand and come into it's own within the past couple of years. They've been featured on the TODAY show and in Target commercial spots. In February of 2020, they began their foray into out of home with OUTFRONTÂ Media.
As the art director on this project, I worked closely with the founder, Shontay Lundy and her team to help deliver a nationwide campaign that went live in Washington, DC, Miami and LA. Shontay and her team provided the copy direction, while I worked on the design direction and mechanical print files.
Beyond their out of home campaign, the BGS team created a successful social media campaign utilizing their physical out of home ads.
